Hello! I’m Ronan Corrêa, I have a beautiful wife Miriane and two wonderful Sons. Matheus and our latest family addition, Benicio!
I've been in Professional Photography since 2006 but it’s been a lifelong labour of love, capturing precious moments. I bring this enthusiasm to my various projects! I love to capture candid photos of raw emotion through a lens; The beauty of two people in love or the wonder in the eyes of two parents gazing at their newborn for the first time. I love to do Weddings but also all family-related photos; Maternity, Events, and Engagements.
Growing up in Brazil, in such a multicultural environment - I had the privilege of capturing colourful people and moments with vibrant backdrops. I spent a month travelling through Rajasthan in India, capturing footage which fuelled my passion for capturing new cultures and resulted in an exhibition in my hometown of the inspirational people I met.
Since my arrival in NZ in 2015 I’ve been inspired by the architecture of Christchurch and this post-quake evolving City that has so much to offer for Photographic opportunities; From spectacular landscapes to art murals by emerging artists. I also love to travel around locally and abroad for inspiration!
My aim is to create meaningful and long-lasting memories that survive generations. Having been through a lot in my life, I believe I can relate with people well and this helps me to translate emotion in my photographs, giving them that authenticity that makes a great photo!
The thing I love the most is seeing a smile on people’s faces as a result of my work. This is what makes my work worthy.
I try to treat every single person in my life as a unique human being that deserves respect and I try to emphasize their best selves through my lens.
